Policies and Finances
Copyright Policy
The mission of Peacemaker Ministries is to equip and assist Christians and their churches to respond to conflict biblically. We do this, in part, through our seminars and teaching materials. By God’s grace, we receive many inquiries from people who desire to teach and use our materials in various ways. This policy sets forth the manner in which people who are not on the Peacemaker Ministries staff may teach, adapt, and/or use copyrighted Peacemaker Ministries materials or excerpts from them.
Through this Policy
We are seeking to serve the Lord and His church by equipping and assisting Christians to respond to conflict biblically. By extending permission to others to teach and use our materials, we hope many people whom our staff could not reach will learn God’s principles. We intend that the latest versions of our materials be taught by godly people under the authority of their local churches, denominations, and/or ministries. We desire to wisely steward the resources that God has entrusted to us.
Integration of Peacemaker Ministries Concepts into other Materials
Peacemaker Ministries encourages others to draw freely on the concepts that we have developed to communicate biblical peacemaking principles. Quotations of up to 1000 words from our work may be used without alteration for ministry purposes without written permission. (By “ministry purposes,” we mean that an excerpt will be used within a church, ministry, school, Bible study, etc., and will not be for resale, i.e., in published form.)
We ask that you give proper attribution to the source of the quotation by listing the title, author, publication information, and our ministry name and web site. For example:
Reprinted or adapted from Peacemaker® Ministries. https://peacemakerministries.org
Quotations of less than 200 words from our work may be used without alteration for non-ministry purposes without written permission. We ask only that you give proper attribution to the source of the quotation by listing the title, author, publication information, and our ministry name and web site. Quotations of more than 1000 words for ministry purposes or more than 200 words for resale require written permission. Please contact Peacemaker Ministries to request permission (Request permission here)
Website Privacy Policy
Peacemaker Ministries (Peacemaker, we, us, or our) has created this Website Privacy Policy to assure visitors that we are concerned about, and respect your privacy, while visiting our website. Peacemaker Ministries will not provide your Personally Identifiable Information, including your e-mail address, to anyone outside of our organization. Except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, we will keep your Personally Identifiable Information private and will not share it with third parties, unless such disclosure is necessary to comply with a court order or other legal process; protect our rights or property; protect the safety and security of our other visitors; or enforce our Terms and Conditions. We will endeavor to assure that information you provide to us will remain secure. We want you to feel safe in your online experience while visiting our site. We therefore request that you take a moment to review the following information.
On our website there are a variety of ways to interact with us that may require or request your Personally Identifiable Information.
Unsubscribing to E-mail
Peacemaker Ministries wants to make it easy to unsubscribe to e-mails we send to you. Just look for the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any e-mail we send and follow the instructions there. You can unsubscribe at any time for any reason. In addition, you may contact us at the address or phone number provided in the Contact section below.
Your friend’s e-mail address
From time to time, we may offer you the chance to send an article or a note to someone else telling them about the site. Your friend’s Personally Identifiable Information is also covered by this Privacy Policy.
We will use your friend’s e-mail address to send the specific message you asked us to send. We will not contact your friend again unless he/she voluntarily subscribes to our services.
We recognize that there are some people who may abuse our “send to a friend” system to send e-mail to persons who are not truly friends and who do not want e-mail from us. Though minimizing such risks is important to us, we still consider this service important enough to offer it.
Collection of Information
We sometimes ask that you provide us with Personal Information while online. The type of Personally Identifiable Information we collect typically corresponds directly to a request you make. For instance, you may make donations, offer thoughts, enter contests, or request resources from our Online Store. We also use this information internally to improve our site. If you provide Personally Identifiable Information to us, we understand that to mean that you consent to our retaining and using such information as stated in this Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
At Peacemaker Ministries, we do direct some online services to children (defined as persons under age 13). Because we wish to make our best efforts to protect the privacy of all users of our site, including children, we endeavor to comply with the 1998 Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. While these measures are included elsewhere in this policy, we summarize them here for the sake of communicating them clearly and understandably to you. Our site:
- Accurately describes its privacy policy in this document,
- Includes our contact information,
- Explains the types of personal information we collect, and how we use it,
- Explains our practices in terms of sharing personal information with third parties,
- Allows parents to consent to the collection and use of their child’s personally identifiable information, without consenting to disclosure to third parties,
- Explains that we do not condition a child’s participation in an activity on the child’s providing more personal information than is reasonably necessary for the activity.
- Allows parents to review their child’s information, have it deleted, or refuse to permit any further collection, by contacting us at: hello@peacemakerministries.org or 1 (800) 711-7118

How Peacemaker Ministries Handles Donations
Peacemaker Ministries will respect the wishes of every designated donation. All designated funds will stay within the designated category of the donation. Each category will fund the cost to develop new materials, pay for training of those we minister to, pay for printing and/or publishing of new products, pay for gifting of resources that help those in conflict, pay trainers and/or reconcilers in the specified category, pay for travel and other set up costs to ensure the event and/or reconciliation can take place, and to cover overall general cost of doing ministry in that category.
90% of all donations go directly to the designated category, or, if no category is selected, to general ministry needs. 10% of each donation will be used for the general fund to cover general overhead costs for Peacemaker Ministries. Any fundraising that results in excess of the specified goal amount is automatically transferred into the general fund of peacemaker ministries to be used for the ministry where it is needed most.
If a category is going to be closed down, not used, or no longer developed, the official board of Peacemaker Ministries will reassign those funds to a new category of their choosing to ensure the success and advance the mission of Peacemaker Ministries.

Scriptural Foundation
15 “If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother. 16 “But if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that BY THE MOUTH OF TWO OR THREE WITNESSES EVERY FACT MAY BE CONFIRMED. 17 “If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. 18 “Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven. 19 “Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. Matthew 18:15–19 (NASB95)
23 “Therefore if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering. Matthew 5:23–24 (NASB95)
1 Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Galatians 6:1 (NASB95)
